What is a non-contactable site?
A non-contactable site is a domain with no valid takedown contact information, which means infringing content cannot be reported directly. This includes sites that do not provide contact details, or where available contact methods are unreliable or unsuitable for processing removal requests.
How MUSO Handles Infringements on Non-Contactable Sites
Although non-contactable sites are rare, infringements from these domains are still tracked within the MUSO Protect Dashboard. This ensures:
- An audit trail of enforcement efforts.
- Support for potential legal actions.
- Greater transparency and insight into your overall compliance activity.
How They Appear in the Dashboard
Infringements will display in the Compliance column as Non-Compliant Site and the status will appear as Non-contactable.
