What is a Non-Compliant Site?
A non-compliant site is a domain that fails to take action upon receiving a DMCA takedown notice. This means they will not remove infringing content from their site when notified of its presence.
How MUSO Handles Infringements on Non-Compliant Sites
Infringements from these domains are tracked within the MUSO Protect Dashboard. This ensures:
- An audit trail of enforcement efforts.
- Support for potential legal actions.
- Greater transparency and insight into your overall compliance activity.
How They Appear in the Dashboard
The Compliance column in the Infringing Links page identifies whether the site is compliant or non-compliant to DMCA takedown notices.

The Compliance filter in both Infringing Links and Infringement Summary allows users to filter File infringements by: Compliant Site, Non-Compliant Site and Under Review. When applied, only matching File infringements are shown and Google infringements are excluded.

The pie chart titled ‘INFRINGEMENTS BY COMPLIANCE’ in the Infringement Summary page displays the distribution of infringements across Compliant, Non-Compliant, and Under Review, and excludes Google infringements.
