How to modify Google search settings

Customising search locations and phrases

MUSO optimises your Google takedown scans using presets, similar to the Search/Filter settings. These presets consider factors like:

  • Localised Google Territories: Depending on your location, MUSO scans territories like United States (.com) or United Kingdom (.co.uk) by default.
  • Typical Search Phrases: MUSO includes phrases associated with illegal content, such as "download free" or "torrent."

Customising Your Google Scan Settings

You can refine these presets within your MUSO Dashboard settings. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to "Settings" and then "Google Settings."

  2. You'll find two categories for customisation:

    • Google Countries: Add up to 10 specific Google territories for MUSO to scan. Remember, scan times are divided among chosen countries. Unless you have a specific reason, the default settings (.com or .co.uk) are generally recommended.
    • Google Search Phrases: Include up to 10 customised search phrases relevant to your content. Feel free to add your own or modify the pre-selected options.

Important Note: These settings apply to all your campaigns, so be mindful when making changes.
