Fine-tuning your search results with MUSO filters
To ensure the most relevant and accurate results when scanning the web for infringing copies of your content, MUSO uses various filters. These include search term filters and file type filters. For instance, when searching for music, results containing PDFs, JPGs, or DVDrips are likely not relevant.
Pre-configured filters for your convenience
We've already set up suggested filters for your account, but you can customise them at any time. Simply visit your account Settings and navigate to "Search/Filter Settings."
Customising your searches and filters
There are four key areas where you can make adjustments:
- Automatic Filter Results: This section allows you to add or remove filtered words from your search results based on media type. To include all file types in your search results, simply untick the box at the top.
- Shared Saved Searches: Create search filters that apply across all your campaigns here. If you prefer campaign-specific filters, refer to our dedicated help article on "How to filter files and save search results".
- Sites Whitelist: Exclude specific domain names from your search results, such as those of partner cyberlockers.
- File Type Filters: Refine your results by removing specific file types, like UGC (User-Generated Content) or social media content.
Important Note:
These are advanced settings. We recommend only changing them if you're familiar with the mentioned file types and terms.
